Networking Benifits: networking and some of the advantages.
There are advantages to setting up a network in your home or office. The main advantages are sharing hardware and Internet connection. To setup a basic network all you need is a network switch/hub. A switch or hub is a device that has multiple ports to connect to multiple computers to a each other.
A switch or a hub will allow you to share files and printers between two or more machines but I will not allow you to share an Internet Connection. You would need a router to share an Internet connection between multiple computers. A router will
allow you to share the Internet, Files and Printers between two or more machines.
There are two types of routers wired and wireless both allow you to share Internet, files and printers between machines. The wired requires you to run a physical wire to each machine. The wireless router allows you to do run a wire to each machine in addition you can connect using Radio Frequency the same as a cordless phone does to your other machines. Wireless is the easiest way to connect but does have its limitations. Some of the limitations include Interference,
and security. Wireless if is not secured can allow outsiders into your network.
